At least two people were injured in a crash involving two container trucks and three other vehicles at Apostolic, heading towards Alapere, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro found out that the accident involved two 40-foot container trucks and three other cars.
A video of the crash was shared on the official X page of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on Thursday. The clip showed LASTMA officials, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, and the police at the scene handling the situation.
In a statement with the video, LASTMA confirmed that two people suffered different levels of injuries in the crash.
The agency said, “A multiple-vehicle crash involving two 40ft containerised trucks and three other vehicles occurred at Apostolic, inward Alapere, resulting in two reported casualties.”
LASTMA said the area was secured to avoid more accidents. Its officials managed traffic and helped with recovery efforts.
It added, “The scene has been secured to prevent secondary incidents, while our men are on the ground to manage the situation and facilitate recovery. The incident is currently causing a traffic backlog towards the old Toll Gate, with recovery efforts ongoing.”
