Boxing legend Mike Tyson has said he will always support Tyson Fury in a fight against Anthony Joshua. He feels so strongly about Fury that he can't back Joshua, no matter what happens in the ring, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Tyson spoke to Ring Magazine after both fighters finished their last warm-up fights before their big match. Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that they have signed contracts for the fight.

“If Tyson comes in right and avoids those punches, it’s going to be interesting. Joshua’s a fast puncher. I love Tyson Fury. That’s why I can never go against him,” Tyson said.

Joshua had his fight in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, but it was a bit shaky. He was knocked down twice in the first 20 seconds by Albanian Kristian Prenga, who had a perfect record of 20 knockouts in 20 fights.

The 36-year-old Joshua showed his skill by coming back to stop Prenga in the second round. This win brought his record to 30 wins out of 34 fights, with 27 knockouts.

Despite the win, those early knockdowns may give Fury's team some hope. Fury had a much easier time in Thailand, winning by stopping 46-year-old Polish fighter Mariusz Wach in the seventh round during a fight that wasn’t shown on TV.

After his victory, Joshua dedicated the win to two friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who died in a car crash in Nigeria last December.

“It is more than punch power. That was spirit, that was Latz, that was Sina, that was the families. It hurts to even talk about it. It has been tough. They are my brothers,” he said in the ring.

Hearn mentioned that they have not yet picked a venue for the Joshua-Fury fight. Wembley Stadium is one option, but they are also considering holding the fight in the United States.
