American rapper Nicki Minaj has claimed she faced what she called “constant spiritual warfare” during her time in the music industry. She said that powerful people worked against her after she refused to meet certain expectations.
Minaj made these claims while speaking on The Bryce Crawford Podcast, hosted by evangelist Bryce Crawford. The episode started trending on Tuesday.
On the show, Minaj explained that she entered the entertainment industry without knowing about its spiritual side. She believes this lack of understanding led to many of the problems she faced.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight without having that information,” she said.
Minaj alleged that some powerful people in the industry see artists mainly as money-making tools. She said these figures can make life tough for those who do not follow their orders.
According to her, the problems she faced were mainly due to a personal conflict with a powerful individual.
“My situation, I feel like it’s very personal. I feel that there definitely is a group of people who have made things very difficult for me, but I don’t know if they’re Illuminati.
“I don’t know what they are, I always look at it like it was a personal issue that one person didn’t really like me and they happen to be in a powerful position and they were able to use their influence to make people go against me because they couldn’t get certain money with me and they wanted the money not to come to me.”
When asked about the Illuminati, Minaj said she could not confirm if such a group existed but did not dismiss the idea.
“I never looked at it as if it was like an entire secret society against me but who knows, you know? It could be, but it definitely has been spiritual,” she added.
The rapper believes that while her experience is mostly personal, she thinks there are larger spiritual forces at play in the entertainment industry.
Minaj is one of the best-selling female rappers ever, with several platinum albums and a career that has lasted nearly twenty years.
