Nollywood star Patience Ozokwo, known as Mama G, shared why she often plays witch roles in movies. She believes these characters help show the results of evil and injustice.
She spoke during a livestream chat with popular Nigerian streamer Carter Efe on Monday. When asked about her roles as witches, she explained that these parts fit her goal of promoting good values and stopping bad behavior.
"God carved that niche for me to be able to, I think, expose every ill. God created me to expose it," she said.
Ozokwo continued, "I hate injustice. I hate war. I hate anything that shows rancour."
She shared that she takes on these roles to help viewers see the results of their actions.
"So when He gave me that kind of role, I try to bring out everything I know about it, that if you are taking part in any of them, you will be careful and know the end thereof," she explained.
She hopes that through her performances, people will recognize what happens when they choose wrong and what they gain from living a good life.
"You know what will happen to you if you live a terrible life. And you know what you gain if you are a good person," she added.
