PUNCH Online reported earlier that the 26-year-old beauty queen from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, arrived in Vietnam to represent Nigeria at the Miss World Festival.

Karibi-George won the Miss World Nigeria 2026 title at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, where she beat 19 other finalists.

She represented Bayelsa State during the national competition, even though she hails from Port Harcourt in Rivers State.
Popularly called Soye, she is a trained communications professional and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Outside of pageantry, Karibi-George founded Beyond Labels, an initiative aimed at inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for children with special needs.
Her advocacy work is a key part of her role as Nigeria’s representative at the global event.

Before winning the Miss World Nigeria crown, she also won Miss Africa International 2024 in Accra, Ghana.

Ahead of her trip to Vietnam, Karibi-George described her Miss World journey as a chance to showcase Nigeria’s strength, culture, and values while pushing her advocacy.

The 73rd Miss World Festival is currently happening in Vietnam, where contestants are taking part in various activities and challenges leading up to the final.

Nigeria hopes for another strong performance after Joy Mojisola Raimi finished in the Top 20 at the 72nd Miss World pageant in India.
