Wellington College International Lagos names Christine Haslett as Founding Headmaster

Wellington College International Lagos has announced Christine Haslett as its Founding Headmaster. She will start on 1 August 2026.

This appointment is a key step as the school prepares to open in September 2027. Christine's leadership will be important during this early stage of the school's growth.

Christine has a solid background in international education. She has worked in both day and boarding schools in the UK, China, and Indonesia. She played a major role in setting up Wellington College Independent School Jakarta. Her work helped build its academic, pastoral, and organizational foundations. Christine is known for her clear leadership style and strong focus on student care, community building, and high academic standards.

Paul Vanni, the International Director of Wellington College International, commented: “Christine brings the experience and judgement required to lead a school through its founding years. Her commitment to education grounded in values and purpose makes her well placed to shape Wellington College International Lagos as it develops its identity and culture.”
