Comedians Ayobami Ajewole, known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, called Dele Omo Woli, have said they will take legal action against anyone spreading rumors that connect them to the death of gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.
Woli Agba shared this news in a public statement on his Instagram on Sunday.
The statement, from their lawyers at Gemgold Solicitors, warned people not to publish or share what they called false and harmful claims about the two entertainers.
Dated October 23, 2026, the statement said the claims were groundless and aimed at hurting the reputation of their clients.
"Our Clients’ attention has been drawn to certain defamatory publications and online broadcasts containing false, baseless, and malicious allegations against them. These publications seem aimed at damaging our Clients’ hard-earned reputations, exposing them to public ridicule, and stirring hostility against them.
"We state clearly that these allegations, especially those wrongly linking our Clients to the death of Toluwanisings, are completely false, unproven, and baseless," the statement partly read.
The lawyers warned that those who start, share, or support defamatory posts could also face legal action, including those who share content from anonymous sources.
"Anyone who creates, publishes, forwards, or supports defamatory material is equally responsible under the law," the statement said.
The legal team asked the public to stop sharing unverified claims about the entertainers, to avoid endorsing such content, and to remove any false information they had shared on their social media or blogs.
The statement also said that the clients would keep their legal options open and would act against anyone or any media outlet that kept spreading the false claims.
"Any person, blog, media outlet, or social media user who continues to publish, share, or broadcast false and defamatory information against our Clients will face quick legal action, including claims for significant damages and court orders under relevant civil and criminal laws," the statement added.
The lawyers also encouraged people to check facts before sharing, stressing the importance of responsible sharing and respect for people's dignity.
