Aikou and Flora Back in BBNaija, Can Compete for N160m Prize

BBNaija Season 11 housemates Aikou and Flora were once locked out of winning the grand prize as Gambits. But now, they are back as full housemates and can compete for the ₦160m prize.

This change was announced on Monday after Sunday’s twist called “Operation Release the Gambit.” In this twist, viewers had the power to choose whether to release one or both housemates from their special status.

“Flora and Aikou are officially out of Gambit mode. Biggie has reinstated them as full #BBNaija housemates, making them eligible to compete for the prize money,” the organizers said.

The organizers also mentioned that Aikou and Flora could now be evicted if nominated. “If nominated, their fate now rests with the voting public,” they added.

Aikou and Flora were the first Gambits of the season. They were voted into these special roles by the viewers. Flora got 29.38 percent of the votes to become the female Gambit, while Aikou received 9.10 percent to take the male Gambit spot.

Being Gambits meant they had a place in the house until the finale but could not win the ₦160m grand prize. However, things changed during Sunday’s live show.

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu revealed the “Operation Release the Gambit” twist, letting viewers decide if one or both housemates should return to the main competition. “Big Brother has one more twist for you tonight. Operation Release the Gambit begins immediately after the live show. The polls will open, and you will decide whether to release one or both of the Gambits, giving them the opportunity to play for the prize. The power is in your hands,” Ebuka said.

Now that their Gambit status is removed, Aikou and Flora will compete with the other housemates. Their chance to win the ₦160m prize is back on. But if they get nominated for eviction, their stay in the house will depend on the votes from the public.
