A support group for the All Progressives Congress called the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center has urged for more grassroots mobilization in Katsina State. This is to help ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The group made this call during a meeting on Sunday in Katsina. Members discussed what they see as the achievements of both the Federal Government and the Katsina State Government in areas like security, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Salisu Majigiri, the Director-General of the Centre, spoke at the meeting. He said the organization is serious about gathering support for the APC before the 2027 polls.
"The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center is determined to ensure an overwhelming victory for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umar Dikko Radda, and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections," he stated.
Majigiri, who is the representative of the Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, praised Tinubu for approving the creation of four new Nigerian Army divisions and for recruiting 28,000 military personnel. He called this a big boost for national security.
"Three of the new divisions are in Northern Nigeria in Makurdi, Benue State; Ilorin, Kwara State; and Jalingo, Taraba State. This shows the administration’s commitment to improving security in our region.
"These and many other policies from the Tinubu administration show its dedication to the safety and well-being of the people of Northern Nigeria. The approval for the recruitment of 28,000 Army personnel is the largest military expansion in recent years," he added.
The group also praised the Federal Government for launching a $3.05 billion social protection and human capital development package. This package includes the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus, the Solutions for Internally Displaced and Host Communities programme, and the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) initiative.
On the state government’s performance, Majigiri commended Governor Radda's recent executive order aimed at fighting insecurity. He noted that the measures are already bringing good results, especially during this farming season.
He also highlighted the governor's decision to hire 2,158 new teachers, raising the total number employed under his administration to 9,481. Majigiri called the state’s education reforms a model for other states.
"We call on all our members and supporters to work hard for the success of all APC candidates in Katsina State during the 2027 general elections," he urged.
The meeting had representatives from the state’s 6,652 polling units, 361 wards, and 34 local government areas. They agreed to step up grassroots mobilization for the APC as the next general elections approach.
The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center was set up by former Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shehu Shema. Its goal is to rally women and youths in support of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
