The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the victims are two security officers and a foreign worker on the road project. Two civilians also suffered gunshot wounds.
Bashir Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Kebbi Command, confirmed the incident. He said it took place in Gubba village, located in the Andarai District of Maiyama.
The PPRO stated that armed men believed to be Lakurawa terrorists came from the Kebbe area of neighbouring Sokoto State. They attacked the construction site, leading to the deaths of two security personnel and one foreign national.

Tactical teams have been sent to reinforce security and stop any further attacks. The PPRO revealed that military personnel neutralized many of the attackers and recovered several motorcycles.
After the incident, work at the affected site has been put on hold. Security agencies are increasing surveillance and sending more personnel to the area.
