Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez has become a hot property in English football this summer. Premier League teams Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Bournemouth are all after the Millwall forward. But moving to the top flight is not going to be easy, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Azeez, 25, had a fantastic season in the EFL Championship last year. He contributed 18 goals and assists, which earned him a spot in the Team of The Season. His performance has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.

A source close to the matter, Clinton Ayooye, told Footy-Africa that Azeez wants to test himself in the Premier League. Millwall is ready to let him go if they get their asking price.

But that asking price is a big issue. Millwall has already turned down a £20m offer from Ipswich Town. They want £30m for a player who has not played in the Premier League yet.

For Villa, who qualified for the UEFA Champions League under Unai Emery, this is a big investment in a player who has not proven himself in the top flight. They need players who can perform right away, especially with a busy schedule of European and domestic matches.

Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town are also watching Azeez, which strengthens Millwall’s position in negotiations. This makes it less likely that any club interested will offer better terms soon.

Azeez’s talent is clear. His strong performance in the Championship earned him his first call-up to the Super Eagles. He made a great impact on the national team by scoring twice in Nigeria's 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in the semi-finals of the 2026 Unity Cup in London.

His previous stats in the Championship were 11 goals and eight assists in 34 league games. Now, he has surpassed those numbers. Those who have followed his career closely believe he is ready for the Premier League. The interest from several clubs shows that they think so too.
