Brighton is looking to sign Millwall forward Femi Azeez as they make big moves in the summer transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Athletic says the Seagulls have already signed eight players this summer. They have also let go of ten players on sale or loan. Now they are considering a move for the Nigeria international to strengthen their squad before the window closes.

Azeez has scored 13 goals in 70 matches for Millwall since he joined from Reading in August 2024.

The 25-year-old impressed last season and earned a spot in the Professional Footballers' Association’s 2025/26 Championship Team of the Season. He scored 11 goals and made eight assists in 35 games for the Lions.

He received an award at the PFA Awards alongside other players like Coventry City goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Matt Grimes, Jack Rudoni, and Haji Wright. Millwall's Tristan Crama, Southampton’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney, and Swansea City’s Zan Vipotnik were also named in the same Championship XI.

His strong performance earned him his first call-up to the Super Eagles under Head Coach Eric Chelle.

He impressed with two goals against Zimbabwe and an assist against Jamaica as Nigeria won the Unity Cup in May. These performances boosted his reputation as one of the most effective attackers in the Championship.

If Azeez moves to the Amex Stadium, he will join his fellow Nigerian Zadok Yohanna at Brighton. The 19-year-old winger made his Premier League debut for the club in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday. He came on for Mats Wieffer 12 minutes before the end, making him the fourth-youngest Nigerian to play in the English top flight. The only ones younger are Victor Anichebe, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Shola Ameobi.

Yohanna joined Brighton from Swedish club AIK this summer for an initial £24.2m. The deal could rise to £26m with add-ons, showing how much the club is investing in young talent this window.
