Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion is now in the hunt to sign Nigerian forward Femi Azeez. They want to boost their attack as the new season approaches, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

The Seagulls are watching the Millwall forward closely. The Yorkshire Post also reports that Hull City, who just got promoted to the Premier League, are eager to land him.

Brighton’s interest comes after they signed another Nigerian player, Zadok Yohanna, from AIK in Sweden last June. The 18-year-old was their first signing of the summer. Brighton beat teams like Newcastle United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Rennes to get him.

Now, the club is looking at Azeez to further build their squad for a season that will feature European football. Brighton finished eighth in the Premier League last season and qualified for the UEFA Conference League.

Hull City is also eyeing Azeez. They are ready to meet Millwall’s asking price as they work on strengthening their squad after moving up to the Premier League.

Millwall has already turned down an offer from Ipswich Town for the 25-year-old. Manager Alex Neil recently said that Azeez could leave if the right price is offered before the transfer window closes.

Azeez had a great 2025/26 season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists. His performance helped Millwall push for promotion and reach the Championship play-off semi-finals.

His success got him a spot in the PFA Championship Team of the Season and earned him his first senior call-up for Nigeria. He made a strong impact at the 2026 Unity Cup.

Azeez scored two goals on his Super Eagles debut in the semi-final and helped Nigeria beat Jamaica in the final to keep the trophy.

He also played in Millwall’s first Championship match of the new season against Bristol City. Unfortunately, he had to leave the game after 30 minutes due to a hamstring issue. Neil said the club would wait for more tests to see how bad the injury is.

With Brighton and Hull now in a race for him, Azeez might soon move to the Premier League if either team strikes a deal with Millwall. If he joins Brighton, he would become the seventh Nigerian to play for the Seagulls.
