FC Barcelona has asked to move Sunday’s women’s match against Real Madrid from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This request is due to heavy rain and flooding risks in the area.
The club shared this news on its X account. They said all activities at their facilities would stop from 8:00pm on Saturday until 2:00pm on Sunday. This is in line with rules from the relevant authorities.
This stop affects sporting activities, training sessions, cultural events, social gatherings, and other planned events.
The women’s match at Spotify Camp Nou is still being reviewed. Barcelona is in touch with Liga F and the necessary competition bodies.
“FC Barcelona has requested that the match kick off at 7:00pm, two hours later than originally scheduled,” the club stated.
Barcelona explained that the delay would allow more time to make sure the stadium is “fully operational” and meets all safety standards.
They also mentioned that a later kickoff would help “facilitate spectators’ journeys and access to the stadium” given the tough weather.
A final decision will be made on Sunday morning, based on how the weather changes and on orders from the authorities.
“The Club will inform members and supporters of any updates through its official channels,” Barcelona added.
