Real Madrid's striker Kylian Mbappé scored twice to help his team beat Barcelona 2-1 on Sunday. This win marked the end of Barcelona's perfect start in the domestic league season.
Mbappé got the first goal in the 41st minute. A Barcelona defender's failed clearance allowed the ball to fall to him, and he put it in the net.
In the second half, Barcelona fought back. Their captain Raphinha equalized in the 61st minute, giving them hope to keep their unbeaten streak alive.
But Mbappé was not done yet. He scored again in the 87th minute after a brilliant assist from substitute Camavinga. This goal secured all three points for Real Madrid and boosted their chances in the La Liga title race.
This victory is a big blow for Barcelona. They were looking to extend their winning streak to 10 league matches, something no team has done this season.
For Madrid, this win gives a major lift to their title hopes as they aim to catch up with the teams at the top of the league.
Once again, Mbappé showed how important he is to Real Madrid. The French forward scored two key goals in this intense rivalry.
