Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has played down claims that Erling Haaland could be a target if Manchester City is relegated.
In an interview with BILD on Sunday, Hainer was asked if Bayern Munich would consider signing the Norwegian striker if City is pushed out of the Premier League due to their ongoing financial issues.
"We have Kane, Olise, Diaz and more. We scored over 120 goals last season. So, I think we are very well equipped in attack," Hainer said.
The Bayern president stressed that the club does not need to add any more strikers right now, as they already have Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Díaz in their ranks.
Future Possibilities
Still, he didn't completely close the door on the future.
"If we’re talking about the future in a few years, then there will be a new situation, and we’ll see," Hainer added.
Talks about serious sanctions, including possible relegation, are still ongoing while they wait for an appeal.
