Nigerian relationship influencer Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, has denied claims of drug use after getting out of detention. She said she does not smoke or drink alcohol.

Blessing made this clear during a video call with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala. Doris shared their chat on Instagram.

In the conversation, Doris told Blessing that rumors about her alleged drug use were spreading on social media while she was locked up. Some people even warned others against sending Blessing money, claiming it might be used for drugs. Others suggested that she needed rehab instead of financial help.

Responding to these claims, Blessing said that many people were judging her without knowing her personally. "I don’t do drugs. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t even party. Most times, the internet has a way of enjoying themselves. A lot of people don’t even know me personally," she stated.

The claims about Blessing began circulating in early October after social media activist VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, accused her and her partner, businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD, of drug involvement.

In videos on Instagram, VeryDarkMan claimed that IVD introduced Blessing to drugs. He also alleged that their supposed drug use led to financial problems and other issues for Blessing.

He further claimed that Blessing had sold properties and cars to fund her alleged habit. He tied these claims to the controversy over her reported cancer diagnosis and fundraising efforts.

VeryDarkMan later advised the public not to send Blessing money after her release, saying she needed rehabilitation.

Despite these serious claims, there is no proof to back them up. Blessing’s comments clearly deny the allegations.

Her denial comes just days after she was released from detention. She had spent months in custody due to fraud-related cases brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

She was reportedly released on Saturday, 24 October, after meeting her bail conditions. Doris announced her release on Instagram, saying, "Blessing CEO is finally out, thank you, Jesus. Awwwww ajjeeeyyyy."

IVD also celebrated her release, sharing a video and writing, "We entered the lion’s den, but the lion didn’t eat us."

Blessing had been in custody even after being granted bail in some cases. This was reportedly because she struggled to meet the bail conditions.

The cases involve allegations about property transactions and claims that she collected money from the public, saying she was fighting stage four breast cancer.

In one case, she is accused of getting about ₦13 million in donations by presenting fake medical results.

Other reported cases involve disputed property transactions, with amounts of about ₦36 million and ₦69.15 million mentioned in separate cases.

Blessing has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her bail release does not mean she is acquitted, and the cases are still in court.

While in detention, Blessing also lost her second son, who reportedly died after an asthma attack. This tragedy attracted online attention, including talks about a ₦56 million fundraising appeal she had publicly distanced herself from.

Blessing has built a significant social media following with her relationship advice and comments on love. She remains a controversial figure in Nigeria’s online entertainment space. Her denial of the drug allegations adds another layer to the ongoing public scrutiny of her personal life and legal issues.
