Chelsea have not gotten any official offer for Enzo Fernández after the club’s 5pm UK time deadline passed.
Fabrizio Romano shared on X on Friday that Chelsea had set a £120 million verbal exit fee for Fernández’s agents at the end of May.
But now, that deal is off as the deadline went by without any official bid for the Argentina player.
Chelsea has reportedly told Fernández’s team that the £120 million verbal exit clause is “now off the table.”
This means that any club still wanting to sign the midfielder must negotiate directly with Chelsea instead of depending on the earlier agreed amount.
Fernández joined Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 and is still under contract with the club in London.
Since then, he has become a key player for Chelsea and keeps playing regularly for the team.
Without any official offer before the deadline, Fernández stays a Chelsea player, and the £120 million verbal exit deal is no longer an option for interested clubs.
