CEO Amb. Lawrence Oloche said everyone in Nigeria can use the platform starting from 1 October 2026.
Oloche added that ProTaxi aims to improve travel across Africa through technology, affordable transport, job opportunities, and benefits for the environment.
The company wants to be a leading eco-friendly ride-hailing service in Africa in the long run. It plans to promote sustainable transport and clean energy use.
"We believe getting around should be easy, affordable, and environmentally responsible," the company stated.
Besides promoting electric vehicles, ProTaxi includes features that boost convenience and safety for users. Passengers can book rides via the app and connect with nearby drivers.
The platform has personalized location features, various payment methods, trip details, and access to driver receipts.
Safety features include driver verification, real-time tracking, and the ability to rate and review drivers. Passengers can also share their live location with friends and family. This way, loved ones can track their journey.
For drivers, ProTaxi offers flexible earning options. They can choose their working hours and decide whether to work full-time or part-time.
The launch on 1 October marks PromiseLand Innovations Limited's entry into Nigeria's tech-driven transport sector. The company is already involved in real estate, aiming to build 100,000 housing units in Nigeria, starting with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
