Promise Land is set to launch ProTaxi on October 1. They have started registration for drivers who want to join this empowerment program. The goal is to create opportunities for 1,000 drivers.
Ambassador Dr Lawrence Oloche Emmanuel is the Founder and CEO of Promise Land. He said this program will mix economic empowerment with a new way of getting around in Nigerian cities.
Emmanuel mentioned that ProTaxi will use eco-friendly vehicles. The focus is on affordability, safety, and convenience for both drivers and passengers.
He also pointed out that choosing October 1 for the launch is meaningful. The company wants to introduce a Nigerian transport platform that will create jobs, help families, and support Nigeria's move to cleaner transport.
"ProTaxi is about empowerment, innovation and providing Nigerians with a cost-effective and environmentally friendly transportation alternative. Through this initiative, we are creating opportunities for 1,000 drivers and, by extension, supporting 1,000 households," Emmanuel said.
Promise Land has shared a link for drivers interested in signing up. This lets Nigerians register before the launch on October 1.
The ProTaxi app will offer e-hailing services to passengers. It will connect registered drivers with customers through the platform.
As the launch date approaches, excitement is growing among potential drivers and the public waiting for this new Nigerian-owned e-hailing service.
