The Chief Executive Officer of PromiseLand Innovations Limited, Ambassador Lawrence Oloche, has previously announced plans to help 1,000 families get brand-new electric vehicles through this initiative.
This scheme is expected to create jobs and income opportunities for Nigerians. It is especially for those who can drive and want to join the electric mobility space. The company says drivers will need to register and go through screening, verification, and onboarding.
The plan is to give drivers access to vehicles and a digital platform. This way, they can provide transportation services and earn income. With the rechargeable energy model, ProTaxi hopes to cut down on reliance on petrol vehicles. This will also help tackle some of the operating cost issues drivers face due to changing global energy prices.
Passengers will be able to book rides, check trip information, and pay through a mobile app available for both Android and iPhone users. The app will also include driver verification, real-time trip tracking, ratings and reviews, and location-sharing features. This is aimed at improving safety and transparency for passengers.
Drivers will have flexible schedules. This will allow them to manage their time while earning through the platform. PromiseLand Innovations Limited says this initiative is part of its larger plan for technology-driven services, sustainable transport, and economic empowerment.
The company is also involved in real estate through PromiseLand Estate. Now, it is expanding into the transportation and e-hailing sector. The launch on 1st October aims to position ProTaxi as a new player in Nigeria's e-hailing market, focusing on green energy, affordable mobility, and opportunities for drivers.
