The City Boy Movement in Ogun West has congratulated Senator Solomon Adeola, known as Yayi, on the opening of his campaign headquarters in Abeokuta. They called this a big moment in Ogun State’s political history as the 2027 election approaches.

The group shared this news in a statement on Monday, signed by Ayodeji Idowu, the Ogun West Coordinator.

They mentioned that the campaign headquarters, located in Ibara, Abeokuta, shows Adeola’s readiness, planning skills, and commitment to connect with the people of Ogun State long before the election.

They noted that this is the first campaign office of its kind to be launched this early by a governorship candidate in Ogun State.

The group explained that the office means more than just a campaign base. It represents hope, unity, and the shared desire of residents for good leadership, inclusive governance, and faster development.

“The opening of this impressive campaign office marks a historic moment in Ogun State’s political journey. It is the first time a governorship candidate has set up and revealed a purpose-built campaign headquarters of this level and importance so early in the election process,” the statement said.

The movement added that the headquarters shows Adeola’s determination to run a campaign based on issues, well-organized and focused on the people across all 20 local government areas in the state.

“Besides being a campaign headquarters, the office stands for hope, unity, and the shared dream of many Ogun people for good leadership, inclusive governance, and quick development.

“It also shows Senator Adeola-Yayi’s commitment to running an issue-based, well-planned, and people-focused campaign throughout every part of the state,” part of the statement read.

They also pointed out that the large turnout of party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and residents at the inauguration showed growing support for Adeola’s governorship plans and trust in his vision for Ogun State.

The group promised to keep gathering grassroots support for the senator ahead of the 2027 governorship election. They congratulated him and the All Progressives Congress leadership for opening the new facility.

“We congratulate Senator Adeola-Yayi and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress on this great achievement. We look forward to a campaign that will unite our people and encourage more democratic participation in Ogun State,” they concluded.

In the meantime, Adeola shared a post on his X handle, saying the campaign headquarters will be the main hub for their activities before the election.

“Today, we officially opened our Campaign Headquarters in Ibara, Abeokuta, which will act as the central hub for organizing our activities ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.

“This project, which we started over two years ago as a sign of our faith and trust in God’s plan, stands today as proof of perseverance, vision, and divine grace,” he wrote.

Earlier, PUNCH Online reported that Adeola was chosen as the All Progressives Congress’ consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State election at a key party meeting that included former governors and party leaders.

Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the decision, saying it was meant to promote unity within the party and ensure smooth governance leading up to the next governorship election.
