Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, known as D’Banj, has given three new Sienna space buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi. This is to support his goal to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives come 2027.
D’Banj handed over the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Thursday.
Olajengbesi shared the news of the donation on his Facebook page on Friday. He called it a surprise and a big show of support from the music star.
He explained that D’Banj reached out to him about two weeks ago. He wanted the contact details of the person handling his campaign branding.
At first, Olajengbesi thought D’Banj needed the details for his CREAM project, which helps young creatives. So, he shared the contact.
Later, Olajengbesi was shocked to receive three fully branded Sienna buses from D’Banj. "It’s my token of support," D’Banj told him when he called after receiving the vehicles.
Olajengbesi expressed his gratitude. He said the donation shows D’Banj’s support for his political journey.
This comes as more people show support for Olajengbesi’s bid for the Oriade-Obokun seat.
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has also supported Olajengbesi’s ambition before.
Olajengbesi was the campaign spokesman for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke during the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
He also leads the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State. Olajengbesi, who turned 40 in August, previously ran for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in 2019.
