As Nigeria works to grow its economy beyond oil, agriculture and non-oil exports are becoming key areas for growth, job creation, food security, and earning foreign currency.

To support this effort, FirstBank will hold the 5th edition of its Agric and Export Expo on 16 and 17 September 2026. The theme is “From Farm to Global Markets: Building Nigeria’s Export Value Chain.”

This two-day event will gather policymakers, regulators, agribusiness leaders, exporters, investors, and development partners. They will discuss practical ways to improve Nigeria’s agricultural value chain and help access global markets.

Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, will give the keynote address. He will share thoughts on how to increase agricultural productivity and strengthen food systems.

Mohammed Umar Bago, the Governor of Niger State, will also give a goodwill message.

Participants will hear from notable industry leaders, including:

• Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, MD/CEO, Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited
• Taiwo Ayoade, Deputy Managing Director, Agro Traders Limited and Plantation Industries Limited
• Sunil Kumar Chauhan, MD/CEO, Dangote Fertiliser Limited
• Ayodele Abioye, MD/CEO, BUA Foods Plc
• Dr. Agboola Zubayr Belgore, MD Amo Byng Nigeria Limited
• Amit Bose, Chief Financial Officer, Valency Agro Nigeria

Those interested can register here.

Now in its fifth year, the FirstBank Agric and Export Expo has become an important platform for promoting teamwork, new ideas, and investment in agriculture and export. The conference will look into new market chances, export financing, adding value, tech advances, and policies that can help Nigerian businesses compete worldwide.

Whether you are a farmer, exporter, agribusiness owner, investor, or entrepreneur, the Expo is a great chance to gain useful insights, form partnerships, and find new ways to grow.
