England gave Croatia their worst defeat ever, beating them 7-0 in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday in Rijeka.
The Three Lions took control from the start, racing to a four-goal lead before the half-time whistle at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
Harry Kane kicked things off in the eighth minute. He ran onto a perfect pass from Jude Bellingham and fired it past the Croatian goalkeeper.
Bellingham made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Anthony Gordon then scored to make it 3-0 in the 39th minute.
Bukayo Saka capped off a fantastic first half with England's fourth goal in stoppage time.
Kane found the net again in the 53rd minute. Saka scored his second in the 68th, stretching the lead to 6-0.
Morgan Rogers, who came on as a substitute, completed the scoring in the 87th minute.
This match marked Croatia’s first seven-goal defeat and broke their record for heaviest losses, which included a 5-1 defeat to England in 2009.
The game was held in front of about 6,000 schoolchildren. This unusual crowd was due to UEFA banning regular fans after some disturbances in previous matches.
Bellingham had a standout performance with one goal and three assists. Kane and Saka each scored twice.
With this win, England now has six points in Group A3, putting them level with Spain, who had a game in hand at the time.
