Enugu Air will start direct international flights between Enugu and Douala, Cameroon, on Wednesday, 23 September. This move aims to improve air travel in the region.
The airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Ugonna Agubuokwu, shared this news in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.
Mr Agubuokwu mentioned that this new route will help businesses, families, and opportunities in Nigeria and Cameroon get closer.
He said the flights will run twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Passengers flying from Lagos and Abuja can easily connect to Douala through Enugu.
“This is more than just a new route. It is about building stronger connections between Nigeria and Cameroon,” he said.
Mr Agubuokwu added that this route will make it easier and more convenient for passengers to travel within the region.
Flights from Enugu will leave at 12:45 p.m. and reach Douala by 1:45 p.m. Return flights will depart Douala at 2:30 p.m. and arrive in Enugu at 3:30 p.m.
He explained that this schedule is set up to help passengers coming from Lagos and Abuja connect conveniently.
“Africa is closer than you think for business, opportunity, and the connections that matter,” he said. He also noted that this new route will grow Enugu Air’s regional network and provide another flight option between southeastern Nigeria and Cameroon.
He mentioned that the Enugu-Douala connection is part of the airline’s plan to enhance regional travel and make it more connected.
