Enyimba wants to build on their recent win when they face Plateau United in an NPFL Matchday 7 match. This game will take place at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday, October 4, at 4pm WAT, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The People’s Elephant ended their tough start to the season with a 4-2 win over Shooting Stars. They hope to keep this momentum going after only winning once in their first six games.

Currently, Enyimba is in 19th place with just four points. They need another three points at home to move away from the bottom of the league table.

Plateau United presents a challenge. They have not lost in their last five matches and sit in fourth place with 11 points. Their only loss this season was against Rivers United in the opening match.

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote’s team has three wins and two draws in those five matches. One of the draws was a dramatic 2-2 fightback against Doma United after falling behind by two goals.

They followed that with a 2-0 win over Inter Lagos at the New Jos Stadium. Gideon Monday and Jibril Ibrahim scored to help Plateau United climb into the top four.

The visitors will come to Aba full of confidence. But Enyimba’s four goals against Shooting Stars have given them a much-needed boost in attack.

In their last two encounters, each team has one win. Plateau United won 2-1 in Jos in October 2025. Enyimba then took revenge with a 2-0 win in Aba in March 2026.

With Enyimba looking for back-to-back wins and Plateau United wanting to keep their unbeaten streak, this match is set to be exciting. Both teams have a lot to play for as they meet in this important clash.

The NPFL Matchday 7 game will be held at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday, October 4, with kick-off at 4pm WAT.
