Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and popular pastor Paul Enenche have been chosen as two of the 10 “Models of Exemplary Fatherhood” in Nigeria.
The Men of Valour, a Christian group from the All Christian Gospel Centre in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, shared the list in a statement on Sunday, June 21, as part of the 2026 Father’s Day celebration.
Femi Otedola, the chairman of First HoldCo Plc, is at the top of the list, closely followed by Paul Enenche.
The group praised Otedola for “fiercely championing his daughters’ unconventional paths in the creative arts, like DJ Cuppy and Temi, instead of pushing them into corporate jobs. He openly calls them his ‘greatest investments.’”
Pastor Paul Enenche, who is the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre and also a medical doctor, was recognized for his “highly stable, exemplary marriage and family life.” He is actively raising four children while providing spiritual and academic guidance to millions of Nigerian youths.
List Overview
The list includes men from different areas such as faith, public service, law, diplomacy, business, corporate leadership, and sports.
Effiong Usanga, a deacon and secretary of the group, signed the statement. He mentioned that the idea was born during a special meeting in February. The goal is to celebrate Nigerian men whose lives and dedication to fatherhood inspire others.
“This is the first edition; we plan to do this every year,” Usanga told PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday evening. “It is our small way of contributing to the well-being of families and society.”
“The aim is not just about religion; it is about inspiring leadership and commitment to family values. We want to send a subtle message to Nigerian fathers that their good deeds are being noticed,” he added.
