The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has fired five volunteer personnel for bad behavior, unprofessionalism, and serious indiscipline.
The volunteers dismissed are Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman, and Ahmad Sarki.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC in Kano, shared this news in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement said that Commandant Mohammed Agalama approved the dismissals after reviewing the personnel’s actions. Their behavior went against the Corps’ values, ethics, and operational standards.
“The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the dismissal of the five volunteer personnel over misconduct, which is contrary to the Corps’ values, ethics and operational standards,” the statement confirmed.
The statement also mentioned that all uniforms, equipment, identification materials, and other items used by the fired personnel have been taken back by the Command.
The Commandant instructed all area commanders, divisional officers, and other relevant officers in the state to pay attention to this matter. They must ensure that the dismissed individuals are not recognized or involved in any official activities for the Corps.
He emphasized the Command’s strict stance against indiscipline and warned that any personnel caught doing things that could damage the Corps’ reputation would face serious consequences.
“The NSCDC Kano State Command remains committed to professionalism, integrity, and efficient service delivery in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities,” the statement concluded.
