Sporting Club Delhi has signed former Remo Stars captain Junior Nduka. He signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
The 23-year-old player comes from Iraqi club Al-Najaf FC. He is the top foreign signing for SC Delhi ahead of the Indian Super League 2026/27 season, which kicks off on October 10.
Nduka, a Nigerian international, was linked to Moroccan club Raja Club Athletic earlier this summer. He has now agreed to join SC Delhi for the upcoming season, as reported by Khel Now.
He made a name for himself at Remo Stars. Nduka became captain as a teenager and led the team into the Nigeria Premier Football League after their promotion in September 2021. He won the league title in 2025 before moving to Iraq.
Nduka left Nigeria in the 2025/26 season to join Erbil SC in the Iraq Stars League. He reportedly signed a five-year deal. In January, he moved to Al-Najaf FC and played 26 matches in Iraq that season.
His first call-up to the senior Nigeria team was in May 2025 for friendly matches against Jamaica and Ghana, but he did not play.
He captained Nigeria at the African Nations Championship in August 2025. During the tournament, he played three matches against Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
