Tyson Fury got closer to a big fight with Anthony Joshua after beating Mariusz Wach by technical knockout in Pattaya, Thailand on Friday.
The 37-year-old British boxer showed his skill against the 46-year-old Polish fighter in front of 1,500 fans. The fight was not shown live on TV.
Fury, a former two-time world heavyweight champion, kept attacking Wach until his corner stopped the fight in the seventh round.
This win marks Fury's second victory this year after a 16-month break from the ring.
Now, all eyes are on Anthony Joshua’s fight on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He will face Albania’s Kristian Prenga.
Joshua, who is 36, is expected to win, which would lead to the long-awaited match with Fury.
This will be Joshua’s first fight since a car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
Before this, Joshua’s last fight ended in a knockout loss to IBF world champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in September 2024.
