The SBA Golf Club in Abuja recently held the first tournament organized by its Lady Captain. The event featured impressive talent and sportsmanship. Golfers from different clubs came together to show their skills in a friendly and competitive setting.
Lady Captain, Mrs. Amina Ibrahim, was thrilled about the turnout and the quality of play. "This tournament is not just about winning; it's about bringing together women golfers and promoting the sport among ladies in Nigeria," she said during the opening ceremony.
Participants took part in various categories, with prizes for the best scores. There was also a special category for new golfers, aimed at encouraging more women to start playing. "We want to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to play golf," Mrs. Ibrahim added.
The event wrapped up with a prize-giving ceremony, where winners were honored for their hard work. The SBA Golf Club plans to make this tournament an annual event. This will help promote women's participation in golf and build a sense of community among players.
