Veteran Nigerian actor and musician, Harry B Anyanwu, has called on Nollywood stars and the public to assist actress Maureen Okpoko. She reportedly lost her sight several years ago.
In a video that went viral on X on Monday, Anyanwu explained that Okpoko needs financial help for treatment that might restore her vision.
Anyanwu, who is currently with Okpoko in Enugu State, urged his colleagues in the film industry to lend a hand.
“I am right here in Enugu with my sister of inestimable value, Maureen Okpoko. Nollywood, let’s reach out to her and support her. She’s blind, but she can restore her sight,” he said.
He also appealed to actors, actresses, and caring Nigerians to contribute to the veteran actress’ treatment.
He emphasized that with everyone’s support, Okpoko could have a chance to regain her sight and return to good health.
