The Embassy of Israel, together with Innovate Hub and Unistream, has graduated the 2026 batch of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bootcamp.
At the graduation ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, Gregory Ibe Jnr, the Managing Director of Innovate Hub, shared that the program aims to boost efficiency and productivity. He emphasized that it also helps entrepreneurs prepare for future technology challenges.
"This was a unique program because the AI was designed to increase your business productivity. It is not like the usual AI that only seeks to cut jobs," he said.
"This AI aims to create jobs, enhance opportunities, and improve efficiency. So, it is a really special program. We have a strong partnership with the Embassy of Israel. This partnership is about building the relationship between Israel and Nigeria through us, and we are one of their main partners and facilitators," he explained.
The Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, also spoke to the participants about the importance of being innovative in enhancing their skills.
"Your future is here, and AI will not take away your jobs. Instead, it will help you create jobs. Israel wants to lead the world in AI in the coming years. We also want to share this knowledge with young entrepreneurs in Nigeria," he said.
He mentioned that this Bootcamp would not be the last one. There are plans to expand the program to build a better future for Nigerian youths and entrepreneurs.
Dor Yaakov, the Lead Facilitator from Unistream, highlighted that African problems need African solutions, which is why this Bootcamp is essential.
He added, "There are global issues in education, health, agriculture, sustainability, and community. These are real challenges for millions of people worldwide. I believe we will see startups from Nigeria that succeed globally and solve problems for many people."
