YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is set to return to the boxing ring on December 24 in Dubai. This comes almost a year after he lost to former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The 29-year-old American made the announcement on Thursday. He confirmed that he will headline a boxing event on Christmas Eve, but he has not revealed who he will fight.
Paul has not been in the ring since Joshua knocked him out in the sixth round of their heavyweight match in Miami on December 19, 2025. He broke his jaw during that fight and had to go through several surgeries.
In a post on X, Paul stated that the loss has not shaken his confidence or his goals.
"All I want for Christmas Eve is boxing in Dubai. I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face. Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward.
"I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey," he said.
Paul mentioned that there are several possible opponents being looked at but did not name anyone.
"We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out," he added.
His promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, said more details, including who Paul will fight, will come out in the next few weeks.
Paul's record now stands at 12 wins and two losses. His only defeats were against Joshua and British boxer Tommy Fury.
