Joseph Prince Films clears death rumours of TikToker after attack

Joseph Prince Films has denied claims that popular TikToker and filmmaker Joseph Prince, also known as Joffy, has died. They said he is currently receiving medical treatment after he was reportedly stabbed during an attack by street touts.

In a statement shared on Friday on his official TikTok account, the management posted pictures of Joffy on a hospital bed. They described the death claims on social media as untrue.

"We wish to state clearly that these reports are false. Joseph Prince (Joffy) is alive," the statement said.

The management explained that the incident happened while Joffy and his Joseph Prince Films team were coming back from a ticket sales campaign for their new movie, The Last Bell. They were documenting their activities at the time.

The statement claimed that a group of street touts confronted the team, demanding money.

"According to the production team, they were confronted by a group of street touts who demanded money. The situation escalated, production equipment was seized, a cast member’s phone was taken, another team member was assaulted, and the incident turned violent."

The management said Joffy got a stab wound during the fight, while other team members also faced injuries and emotional stress.

"During the altercation, Joseph Prince (Joffy) sustained a stab injury, while other members of the team also suffered injuries and emotional trauma."

They added that Joffy is still under medical care and asked everyone to ignore any reports about his death.

"Joseph Prince (Joffy) remains under medical care. Reports claiming that he has died are entirely false and should be disregarded," the statement continued.

After the incident, the management announced that the release of The Last Bell has been postponed. They said the recovery and well-being of everyone involved is their main focus now.

"In light of these unfortunate events and as our immediate priority is the recovery and well-being of everyone affected, the release of our upcoming film, The Last Bell, has been postponed until further notice."

The management thanked the public for their prayers and support. They also asked people not to spread unverified information.

"We respectfully urge everyone to refrain from sharing unverified information. Official updates will only be released through the official platforms of Joseph Prince Films," the statement said.
