Joffy is Alive, Management Clears Death Rumors After Attack

The team at Joseph Prince Films has denied claims that popular TikToker and filmmaker Joseph Prince, known as Joffy, has died. They said he is getting medical help after he was reportedly stabbed by street touts.

In a statement shared on Friday on his official TikTok page, the management posted pictures of Joffy in a hospital bed. They labeled the death rumors spreading on social media as lies.

"We want to clearly state that these reports are false. Joseph Prince (Joffy) is alive," the statement said.

The management explained that the attack happened while Joffy and his production crew were coming back from promoting their upcoming movie, The Last Bell. They were filming their activities during this time.

They claimed that a group of street touts confronted the team and demanded money. "According to the production team, they were confronted by a group of street touts who demanded money. The situation escalated, production equipment was seized, a cast member’s phone was taken, another team member was assaulted, and the incident turned violent."

During this fight, Joffy got a stab wound. Other crew members also faced injuries and emotional distress. "During the altercation, Joseph Prince (Joffy) sustained a stab injury, while other members of the team also suffered injuries and emotional trauma."

The management stated that Joffy is still under medical care and asked the public to ignore claims about his death. "Joseph Prince (Joffy) remains under medical care. Reports claiming that he has died are entirely false and should be disregarded," they added.

After the incident, the management said they would delay the release of The Last Bell. They said the health and recovery of everyone involved is their top concern now.

"In light of these unfortunate events and as our immediate priority is the recovery and well-being of everyone affected, the release of our upcoming film, The Last Bell, has been postponed until further notice."

They also thanked the public for their prayers and support. They appealed to everyone not to spread unverified news. "We respectfully urge everyone to refrain from sharing unverified information. Official updates will only be released through the official platforms of Joseph Prince Films," the statement concluded.
