Joshua gets set for Fury fight on July 25

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua has said he is ready to face Tyson Fury in the ring for their first fight. But first, he must beat Kristian Prenga, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Fury came back from sixteen months of retirement in April. He won against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham, with Joshua watching from ringside. However, Joshua did not join in a planned stare-down that night. He said the fight has not been signed yet.

Joshua has now signed his own deal for his July 25 comeback fight in Jeddah. He will face Albanian fighter Prenga, who has a record of 20 wins and 1 loss.

Fury will fight one night before Joshua. He will take on forty-six-year-old Pole Mariusz Wach in Thailand. After that, he plans to travel 4,000 miles to watch Joshua's fight. This will kick off their much-anticipated Battle of Britain.

“If he wants to come in the ring when I win July 25th, feel welcome. Come into my territory. I am the landlord. I am going to welcome you into my home. You do not welcome me into your home,” Joshua told DAZN.

“I have been in that position before where I have signed contracts with Fury, so I did not play into the games. I was there on a scouting mission. I wanted to see what my future opponent was going to look like, and I saw a lot. I saw some good, I saw some vulnerabilities in there.”

Joshua, who is 36 years old, and Fury, who is 37, have not yet agreed on a date or place for their long-awaited fight. Las Vegas and New York are possible locations, but they may prefer to fight in the United Kingdom. Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh, who is paying for the fight, is open to hosting it in the kingdom. But they want a later start time for American viewers, who would otherwise see the fight at 2 am.

London does not have the right licenses for a fight of this size, and Cardiff's Principality Stadium is not suitable either.
