Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has scored in 10 straight UEFA Champions League matches. He is now just one game away from Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 11 games with goals.
Kane scored a penalty to give Bayern the lead at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. Then Declan Rice scored an equaliser for Arsenal, who were visiting from London.
UEFA reported on Wednesday that Kane reached this milestone with his goal against Arsenal on October 21, 2026. This was during Matchday Three of the 2026/27 Champions League league phase.
Kane is now the second player to score in 10 straight matches in the Champions League. He joins Ronaldo, who has the record with 11 games in a row for Real Madrid in the 2017/18 season.
Before this, Kane was tied with former Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy and Poland's Robert Lewandowski. Both of them scored in nine consecutive Champions League matches.
Lewandowski achieved this twice while playing for Bayern Munich, first in the 2019/20 season and again in the 2020/21 season.
Ronaldo’s record run started with two goals in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Juventus in the 2017 Champions League final. He then scored in all six group-stage matches of the 2017/18 season.
Ronaldo also netted goals in both legs of Real Madrid’s round-of-16 clash with Paris Saint-Germain and during the quarter-final against Juventus. He scored 17 goals during that 11-match scoring streak, according to UEFA.
The record for consecutive Champions League scoring appearances is held by Ronaldo with 11 matches. Kane follows with 10. Van Nistelrooy and Lewandowski are tied for third with nine matches each. Ronaldo also had an eight-match streak in the 2013/14 season.
UEFA’s stats include matches from the group stage or league phase all the way to the final.
