Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has confirmed that Harry Kane is close to signing a new contract with the club.
In an interview with Sport Bild on Wednesday, Dreesen said, "I’m very positive! We are working on the details. Harry is fantastic, we’re proud to have the Ballon d’Or winner."
The England captain, who won the Ballon d’Or on Monday, is in the final stages of negotiations for an extension. His current contract runs until summer 2027. The new deal is expected to keep him at Bayern Munich until at least 2029.
Kane has been impressive since he joined from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. He has scored many goals and has become a key player in the team under manager Vincent Kompany. Both the club and Kane have shown they want to keep working together.
An agreement in principle was reached earlier this month. Now, only the final details need to be sorted out.
