Kano Pillars assistant coach Okechukwu Ejeh has said his team is not going into Sunday’s match against Enyimba for fun. He made it clear that the unbeaten team is aiming for nothing less than three points at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
"We are not here for a tea party. We are here for serious business. We are here to get the 3 points."
Ejeh added, "We are mentally ready, physically ready and tactically ready for this game. Believe me, we are optimistic that we are not leaving this ancient city empty-handed."
Kano Pillars come into the game unbeaten and have scored ten goals in four matches this season. Players like Rabiu Ali, Fabian Nworie, and Ubong Friday have each scored two goals. However, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Inter Lagos in midweek after winning two home games with a total of seven goals.
On the other hand, Enyimba is at the bottom of the table with no points. They have lost four straight games, including a 3-2 defeat away to Sporting Lagos on Wednesday.
Ejeh also spoke about Kano Pillars’ goals for the season despite the early challenges.
"Our vision still remains to be on the continent. We are not too worried about our position for now. We will get the continental ticket," he said.
