Lagos Team Still Searching for First Win After Draw

Sai Masu Gida and the Noisy Lagosians played to a 1-1 draw in a Nigeria Premier Football League match on Saturday. The game took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

Valentine Ugwu shocked the home fans by scoring for the Lagos team in first-half stoppage time. The home side fought back in the second half, and Abdullahi Musa equalized just three minutes after the break.

Both teams had chances to score the winning goal, but neither could manage to find it. The match ended in a tie.

This result means Daniel Ogunmodede's team remains unbeaten in the new season, moving up to fifth place on the table. It also ended a strong home record for the Kano club, who had won 10 of their last 11 home games before this match.

The Lagos side started the game in ninth place with eight points but climbed to eighth after the draw. Unfortunately, this result extended their winless streak to three matches. They previously had a 1-1 draw with Barau FC and a goalless game against Ikorodu City during the week.

Next, the Kano team will travel to Ibadan to face Shooting Stars. Meanwhile, the Noisy Lagosians will host Bendel Insurance in their upcoming league match.
