Lagos State University graduate, Kehinde Ozein Hamzat, has signed with Turkish football club Fişekspor for the upcoming season.
Kehinde, who plays as a winger, finished his studies at LASU in 2026. He studied Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education in the Faculty of Education.
Before his degree, he earned a diploma and then moved on to full-time studies at the university.
While at LASU, he played for the school's male football team, known as the Trail Blazers.
After his time at the university, Kehinde played for different grassroots football teams in Lagos and nearby areas before getting the chance to move to Turkey.
Fişekspor shared the news of his signing on Instagram on Saturday. They noted that this move is part of their planning for the new season.
“Welcome to Fişekspor, Kehinde! As part of our squad planning for the new season, Nigerian footballer Kehinde Ozein Hamzat has joined Fişekspor,” the club posted.
The Turkish team expressed confidence that Kehinde’s “talent, energy and fighting spirit” will help them succeed.
“Welcome to the family, Kehinde! Together, towards new goals. Together, stronger!” the club added.
Founded in 1973, Fişekspor is located in the Gaziosmanpaşa district of Istanbul. They compete in the 1. Amatör Lig, Group 9 for the 2026/27 season.
