Ademola Lookman reached his 50th assist in his senior club career during the UEFA Champions League. Mubarak Suleiman also matched a record held by Alex Iwobi for Nigerian teenagers in this competition.

Lookman came off the bench for Atletico Madrid at half-time. Atletico was down 1-0 to Stuttgart. Just a minute into the second half, the Super Eagles player set up Julian Alvarez, who was open in the box. Alvarez scored the equaliser just 80 seconds after the break.

This was Alvarez’s first goal of the season. There was a lot of talk over the summer about him possibly moving to Barcelona from Atletico.

Lookman now has 50 assists in senior club football, according to Transfermarkt.

Stuttgart dominated the first half and took the lead in the 36th minute. Jamie Leweling scored with a low shot from the edge of the box. Atletico faced more trouble when midfielder Morten Hjulmand got a red card in the 64th minute for a bad tackle on Angelo Stiller. Despite being down a player, Atletico managed to hold on for a point. Stuttgart's Jeff Chabot missed a chance late in the game when he headed wide from a corner by Maximilian Mittelstadt. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Suleiman made history as the first Nigerian teenager to start a Champions League game since Iwobi did it for Arsenal against Barcelona in March 2016. This information came from Opta Joe.

The young player from Slavia Prague started in the 2-2 draw against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Tuesday night.

At just 19 years old, Suleiman made two important passes and six accurate passes into the final third. He was substituted in the 85th minute for Pavel Kacor. This season, he has one goal and one assist in eight games across all competitions.

Slavia had not earned any points in this season's Champions League before this match. They came back from being 2-0 down in just 11 minutes. Oguz Aydin and Mason Greenwood scored for Fenerbahce. Lukas Provod scored in the 15th minute after Matteo Guendouzi made a mistake, and Kacor equalised with an acrobatic volley in the 90th minute. Kacor scored his first senior goal for the club from a cross by Nigerian teammate Emmanuel Ayaosi.

Suleiman was expected to play for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Russia but had to pull out of the squad. He will be looking to keep improving with Slavia as he aims for a return to the national team.
