Manchester United have set their sights on Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen as their top target for the summer transfer window. The Nigerian striker is seen as the toughest of five forwards on the club’s list to sign, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

But the report indicates that Galatasaray’s high price for Osimhen could be a big hurdle.
The Turkish side paid a record €75 million (£65.06 million) to sign him from Napoli last year after an initial loan. Since then, he has scored 54 goals and added 13 assists in 69 matches across the Super Lig, Champions League, and Europa League over two years. Any team interested in him will also have to meet his high salary demands.
Because of this, United are considering other options. One possibility is Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace, who has a year left on his contract at Selhurst Park. Another option is Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, who is expected to leave the Italian club as a free agent.
United are also looking at Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi, but the Cherries might ask for more than £80 million for the young player. According to talkSPORT, veteran Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski could also be considered, depending on his choice about moving to Major League Soccer.
