National football federations are spending big money to win the World Cup. Brazil's manager Carlo Ancelotti is the highest-paid coach for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ancelotti makes £8.28 million each year, putting him ahead of all other coaches in the tournament.
The former Real Madrid manager recently took over Brazil's team. He will lead the South American giants in their quest for a record sixth World Cup title.
England's coach Thomas Tuchel is in second place with an annual salary of £5.06 million.
Tuchel was hired by the Football Association after England's near misses under Gareth Southgate. His job is to end the country's long wait for a major international trophy.
The United States coach, Mauricio Pochettino, ranks third with a salary of £4.53 million per year. The Argentine, who has coached Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, will lead the host nation in the tournament.
Germany's Julian Nagelsmann is fourth, earning £4.2 million annually. Portugal's Roberto Martinez and Uzbekistan's Fabio Cannavaro are tied for fifth place, each making £3.5 million a year.
Cannavaro's high salary has caught attention because Uzbekistan is not known as a football powerhouse. He was hired after Uzbekistan qualified for its first-ever World Cup.
France's coach Didier Deschamps, who led his team to victory in 2018, earns £3.31 million a year and sits seventh on the list.
Argentina's World Cup-winning coach Lionel Scaloni, Uruguay's Marcelo Bielsa, and the Netherlands' Ronald Koeman round out the top 10. Each of them earns £2.61 million annually.
These salaries show how much football federations are investing to get top managers who can bring success on the biggest stage in football.
