Mourinho Wants Diomande to Improve His Finishing Skills

Real Madrid coach, José Mourinho, has told Yan Diomande that he needs to sharpen his finishing skills if he wants to reach his full potential at the club.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that after the team's win against Sevilla on Sunday, Mourinho was happy with the young winger's overall performance but pointed out a specific area for growth.

"I am very happy with Diomande. He has a lot to work on, and he has many things he needs to improve. He needs to work on his finishing," Mourinho said.

The Portuguese coach added, "He gets to a lot of dangerous positions, but he needs to learn to relax more and make a better decision in last touch."

Diomande, a 19-year-old international from Ivory Coast, joined Real Madrid from RB Leipzig during a big summer transfer. He has shown good movement and can find himself in threatening positions.

Mourinho believes these qualities are a solid base, but he insists that Diomande needs to be calmer and make better choices when it matters most for him to grow as a player.
