Mr P Opens Up About Family Issues and His Wife's Treatment

Former P-Square singer, Peter Okoye, known as Mr P, has shared personal stories in his tell-all series. He made some emotional claims about how his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, was treated by his family during and after her first pregnancy.

In the eighth episode released on Thursday, Peter shifted from talking about money and business issues with his brothers, Jude and Paul, to focus on his family’s relationship with Lola.

Speaking with emotion in the video, Peter talked about a family meeting at his home in Omole when their son, Cameron, was about five months old. He said his late mother, Josephine, came from Jos with pastors and wanted to speak privately with Lola.

Peter claimed that Lola was not treated well during the meeting. He said his mother and brother, Jude, told her to leave him alone. He also mentioned that Jude picked up a photo of their son and questioned the child’s paternity. This incident made Lola cry and caused her to leave their home for months.

Peter further claimed that there was pressure on Lola during her pregnancy. He said that Jude and Paul were not in support of the pregnancy and tried to question the child’s paternity through a fake email. He added that former Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, got involved during the disagreement.

However, Peter said that before their mother passed away, she accepted the child as his biological son. She prayed over the child's photo and asked Jude and Paul to apologize to Lola, but he claimed that the apology never happened.

Peter also denied claims that Lola had a bad relationship with his late mother. He insisted that his wife took care of her during her last days in the hospital.
