Mobile Screens and Sound Limited (MSS), a top event technology company in Nigeria, recently celebrated 20 years of innovation and excellence. The event took place on Thursday, 8 October at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The gala was themed "The Art of Experience." It brought together business leaders, government officials, industry stakeholders, clients, partners, and friends to honor a company that has shaped Nigeria's events landscape.

For two decades, MSS has led the way in event technology. They provide sound, visuals, staging, and technical expertise for some of Nigeria's biggest corporate, entertainment, government, and cultural events. MSS introduced LED screen technology to the market when it was still new. They have become one of the most trusted companies for integrated event production in the country.

The evening featured a look back at the company’s journey from a small business to an industry leader. Guests experienced immersive storytelling, visual displays, and installations that highlighted how MSS has raised industry standards and inspired growth among event technology providers.

Founder and Managing Director, Tunbosun Kola-Daisi, reflected on the company's journey. He said:

"Twenty years ago, we entered an industry where the solutions we offered were largely unfamiliar and where belief in the future of event technology was limited. LED screens, which are commonplace today, were then considered a novelty. The early years tested our resilience, and it took nearly five years before we broke even. But we remained steadfast in our vision because we understood the transformative power of technology in creating unforgettable experiences.

"Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we are proud not only of what we have built, but of the role MSS has played in shaping an industry, creating opportunities and setting new standards for excellence."

A key moment of the evening was the launch of the new logo and brand identity. This marks a new chapter for MSS. The rebrand shows the company’s growth and reinforces its position as a leading provider of event technology solutions, covering sound, lighting, screens, production services, and audience experiences.

The event ended with a stunning drone display that lit up the Lagos skyline. It represented the innovation and creativity that have defined MSS over the past 20 years.

Speaking about the future, Kola-Daisi said: "What began as a vision to transform event experiences has evolved into a business capable of powering some of the largest and most complex productions in Nigeria. Today, we can deliver large-scale sound reinforcement across major venues, deploy screens simultaneously across multiple events, support uninterrupted operations through an extensive power infrastructure, execute nationwide advertising installations, transform physical spaces into immersive experience centres, and provide end-to-end production management for events of every scale.

"But this is only the beginning. Our next chapter is focused on deeper innovation, strategic expansion across Africa and investing in the people who will drive the future of this industry. We are committed to remaining the benchmark for event technology excellence while building the next generation of industry professionals."

The anniversary celebration also showcased MSS’s commitment to talent development. They recently launched the MSS Event Tech Academy. This is a pioneering initiative to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the event technology field. In partnership with KolaDaisi University, the 10-week program offers technical and practical training in six areas: LED Screen Engineering, Sound Engineering, Camera Craft and Video Production, Lighting Design and Control, Event Management and Production, and Rigging and Trussing.

More than 60 students finished the first program. They gained hands-on experience by participating in live MSS projects. Five graduates secured jobs with MSS right after completing the program.

As the event technology industry in Nigeria grows, MSS is dedicated to improving professional standards, nurturing talent, and driving innovation. Twenty years after leading a new era of event technology in Nigeria, MSS continues to set the standard, showing that exceptional experiences are crafted with care.
