Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan received her Certificate of Return on Wednesday as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial District. This certificate confirms her candidacy for the 2027 election.
The certificate was given at a ceremony with key PDP figures. This included the National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and other party candidates.
After receiving the certificate, Akpoti-Uduaghan thanked the party leadership, delegates, and supporters for their trust in her. She said this moment is a call to serve better and take on more responsibility.
She stated, “This Certificate of Return is not just a document; it is a symbol of the trust and confidence that our party members and the people have placed in me. I accept it with humility, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to serve.”
The senator, who currently represents Kogi Central in the Senate, promised to focus on good governance and policies that can improve the lives of Nigerians.
She said, “The PDP remains a platform of hope for millions of Nigerians. We must continue to stand together, engage our communities, and work tirelessly to earn the trust and confidence of the people.”
Akpoti-Uduaghan also highlighted the importance of unity in the opposition party. She urged members and supporters to stay focused on the shared goal of providing leadership that truly cares for the people.
“Our responsibility as leaders and candidates is to inspire confidence through service, integrity, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of our people,” she added.
